^ I always thought of Shabondama as one of those songs that Westerners like over J-wota, so I'm pleasantly surprised. It's the only Ai-chan era song on the list. As for Summer Night Town, I like it well enough but never thought of it as a top tier MM song, go figure.

I don't entirely agree with the ranking (in particular, there's no way I'd put the vastly overrated Sayuki over the unostentatious but consistent and reliable Mizuki), but regardless, I love the use of examples.
