I would be satisfied if the new Kenshuusei acting thing was intended to increase outside acting work (or acting work in general) but still included the chance for them to debut as idols in Hello! Project.

I'm sure if they chose to audition for, say, MM。they'd still be eligible. Not sure if they'd get the Kenshuusei privilege of automatically passing the first couple of rounds, but since they have the experience it'd be likely.

Guess that makes 3 of us then 'cos I wrote this below a couple days ago after seeing that interview:

Yamazaki looked a bit different on today's H!P station (to me), especially around the eyes. Must be because of less makeup or something (not an expert). Don't really resemble Kamei anymore. If anything her face looks similar to a young makeup-less Matsuura in some angles due to their eyes being similar.

so its another Engeki Joshibu stage play for Kenshuusei (and probably Engeki Joshibu Playing Manager Sudo Maasa) like Nega Poji Poji. So I assume the plans to start the new Kenshuusei section for theater won't be ready by then.

That would be a lot better than setting up a vague acting division, putting them in it and having it run parallel with their already existing acting division.
