Discussion Topic:
Would you rather have the girls continue to have busy schedules with lives and handshake events so that we can have better quality releases and sales at the expense of the girls burning out quicker
OR
Would you rather have lower quality releases with better retention of idols as it'd be a less busier schedule on them?

--------------------

This has been on my mind lately. :^) Especially with the Kobushi and Tsubaki Factories it really is a different working situation for them unlike C-ute and Berryz.
So I'm worried if they can handle it and such a young age. It's really just such a demanding job.

I'm an overseas fan who cannot attend any of these live events, so the current event schedule just seems like radio silence to me. More releases and more television appearances would be more entertaining to me personally.

That being said, I trust Up-Front to be classy and not overwork the members. It's only a relative handful of members who are having difficulty, and they should not be the standard by which the rest are measured. If all of them together — members and management — have decided that live events are the best way to make Hello! Project successful right now, then so be it. H!P has been like this for a few years now, so new members should know what they're committing to.

Besides, this sort of difficulty is statistically inevitable. They're human beings doing a job, after all. I think we hear more about it now simply because more information is available now through the Internet.

Turns out whoever made this sign at Tower Records and posted it on twitter was a lie. Tower Records has not heard any information on a release because "pre-orders for the single on 8/15" was a lie.

^ That's a bummer. Though I'm sure they'll announce something soon enough, they won't let Haruka graduate without one more release under her belt.

Early October definitely seems more reasonable than November. I'm still holding out for a special all-Hello! Project anniversary release by the end of this year or sometime in the first few months of 2018.

Though the 10/4 release week conflicts with their concert tour that week. They would have to do handshake events a week in advance. They also would have to promote on non-concert days 10/4, 10/6, and 10/8. Morning Musume. '17 usually uses the whole release week for events.

Morning Musume. '17's Pharaoh no Haka stage play DVD also is released on 10/4.

so much crammed into 1 week.

They will be using their anniversary in September to their advantage for early promotion for sure. If they don't there's some wrong with Up Fronts head.

ZIP! morning show 8/25/17

ZIP! interviewed Matsuoka Mayu about her new drama. Talked about Morning Musume and Sayashi again. Kudo, Oda, and Masaki comment about her Hina Fest 2016 performance.

It pains me to say it, but I'm quite convinced that by the time 2018 comes round (perhaps sooner), Ogawa Rena will no longer be part of H!P.
The same goes for AIkawa Maho.

I'm quite happy to be wrong, but I don't really see it happening any other way.

I'm also worried about Karin although she's found ways to at least remain active in some fashion. She's still blogging quite often.

Rena is my oshi in Kabushi so I'm gradually getting more worried that's going to be the case.

On top of the fact I have panic disorder so I have a vested interest in seeing both of those girls succeed.

That's always a possibility when a girl goes out for lengthy hiatus instead of just a week for a cold or the flu. A lot of people thought Masaki wouldn't be back either. You never know; I'm just happy they're being allowed the time off. I hope they're both able to come back.

Man I had no idea Funaki and Nanamin were so small. They both really stood out in their new group's performances as being noticeably smaller than the rest. But it's weird, like Yaguchi Mari is smaller than the both of them in comparison. :?:

I had no idea Country Girls was kinda shorter than the rest of HP.

^ On the special episode of Hello! Station where the girls were meeting their new groups, Ayacho was surprised by how tiny Funaki was. ちっちゃい!

What was the reason for Rena taken a break? It felt so sudden.

During 24hourTV charity marathon variety show hours, Morning Musume fan Sashihara just blurted out that she wasn't interested in talking about Morning Musume.
Ariyoshi「どうなの指原、モーニング娘。のファンなんだろ、だって元々…」
Sashihara「え、でも今はもう全然好きじゃないのでどうでもいいです」

meanwhile, Morning Musume. fan Matsuoka Mayu, who is always interested in talking about Morning Musume, was at 24hourTV charity marathon at Budokan

She's in a similar, though not exactly the same, situation to Maho. She was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder that required she take time off for treatment.

Musubu is known for being tiny though . She's ~148cm. Yaguchi is ~145cm.

Ended up letting the Hello! Project 2005 Natsu no Kayou Show -'05 Selection! Collection concert run semi-in the background. I forgot Makoto played the drums during "Kacchoii ze! JAPAN", and damned if he didn't just spring to life behind that drum kit. Do something like that again, UF; for the final show get Makoto on the drums again and drag Takui in for guitar or something.
